StudioJ Layout - Lucy Kit

I am so excited that I will be attending the yearly Close To My Heart Convention in July next month! As part of our homework, we had to create StudioJ layouts. The layouts that we made will be given to us at Convention and it was all FREE! Now I must admit, I haven't done too many projects on StudioJ, but after working on 5 layouts, I am hooked! It was so much fun and so easy to do.


For those who don't know about StudioJ, it is our online digital scrapbook software that allows you to create beautiful layouts with our paper packs and patterns. No need to download any software - just interent access and you are all set! And best of all, you can try it for Free! Check it out now by going to StudioJ on my website, create an account and try it out. You can create your own layout and the only time you need buy anything is only if you want to purchase your layout.

Here is Layout # 1 that I created with the Lucy Kit.


In this layout I learned to do the following:
  • Delete unneeded photo wells
  • Using text box to cover up portions of pattern
  • Cropping my Stickease borders to make ribbon streamers

These pictures were taken during Eater this year. I wanted to get a photo of the kids and of course they wouldn't sit still for me. In the end, it made a great layout for me!

Florentine Workshop

For my July workshop, we will be using the beautiful Florentine Paper Pack. The blues, greens, brown and yellow in this paper pack will go with anything! I chose pictures from my Disney Trip and did my sister's wedding with the second layout. This paper pack will go with all your outdoor, parties, weddings, trips, etc. Its so versatile!

In this workshop we will be using the Color-Ready Seam Binding Ribbon. This ribbon is so cool - we will color it with sponge daubers to create a really unique ribbon. For the 2nd layout I added the Durable Studs, Bohemian Assortment, Timeless Charms and Florentine Stickease. Buying all these items are optional but are great to have. You will have leftovers to make more layouts, cards, etc.

I will be teaching this layout on 2 different dates. Please read below for more details:
  • Thursday, July 5 at 7:00pm - RSVP and payment due by Tuesday, June 19
  • Tuesday, July 17 at 7:00pm - RSVP and payment due by Tuesday, June 26
